Finally speaking about #PTSD from a #Military member... #SOT

My husband finally opened up to the world about his struggle with PTSD  read it here.  Something that had been a major problem in our marriage as well as life for over 5 years; since his last deployment to Afghanistan.
He came back a different man, and though many of us Military Wives know about that all to well;  this time it was different...
PTSD almost took his life.

We were SO lucky to have attended an advanced screening of Cars 2... #Cars2

Last Friday our Family had the privileged of being invited to an advanced screening of Disney Pixar's Cars 2 in 3D
and yes we were SO excited, we got to see the movie before the the swanky people from the Hollywood premier ((giggles))  Major Happy dance!!!

The movie was absolutely fun!  It was well worth the long wait.  The graphics were amazing.  Tokyo, Paris, Radiator Springs, and all the international espionage that goes on during all of that travel just had my kids on the edge of their seats!!!

1 week after my surgery...

So here I am, one week after my surgery, and after a lot of debating; I couldn't get myself to take a picture for you guys lol.  My face is still a little bit swollen and after no food for a week and odd sleep patterns I look terrible.  I need Dr. McDreamy to some take care of me ;)

Judy Moody and the NOT so bummer summer...

Our Family was lucky enough to be invited to a special advanced screening of Judy Moody and the NOT so bummer summer on June 4th.  Having two girls in our house, Judy Moody books have been read here, so we were excited to watch the movie.
It was a great experience for all of us.  Since we first arrived we were all treated to doughnuts, and all the kids received some pretty cool Judy Moody swag!

My Daughter at a talent show
(My own Judy Moody)
The movie was just as I pictured, Judy was a character just like my 8 year old daughter, the moodiness ;) the bright colored wardrobe, the outrageous ideas!  So it was a treat watching the movie as I pictured my daughter through it all.

When the thought of surgery keeps you up... literally!

So it's 4am and I'm supposed to be asleep, not for any regular night full of rest; but for my 7am surgery appointment.   Yet, I can't sleep, not even the valium that was prescribed has knocked me out, lol.  I have too many things to do and to think of before I am consumed with pain for days, without even the slightest "want" to be social... then again, I am such a chatterbox that I might be back tonight ;D
If you want a quick update on why I'm having surgery, read my post here, nerve wrecking to say the least right?!?!  Who do you know that has ever practiced smiling?!?!? ;)

Under construction, or in my language: I broke my blog...

I was trying to find a picture of a hot construction worker, and instead all I got was this:

I know, you're welcome ;)

It's 7am and I am about to go to sleep, in case you're wondering that means I haven't been to sleep yet ;)
It all started with me writing a post, then browsing for templates,

Legoland is THEE place to be this summer...

Have you been to Legoland?  If you haven't I suggest you get right on it ;)  It has been our family's favorite place to be on hot days, cloudy days, Holidays, and everyday in between!
As if Legoland wasn't fun enough on it's own, they added Star Wars Miniland, and a Water Park!!!!

Today is my surgery & I will be gone for a bit...

My surgery was postponed to June 14th Tues. due to my blood pressure lol ;)
I know I should be asleep right now, resting on the nice little pillow of valium the Doc prescribed for me.  He thought it would calm me down enough do I could sleep the night before my surgery, HA!

Not sure yet if the joke is on him or on me, but I'm up, awake, scared, excited and wired!!! ;)  Not on valium silly, I never even took it, I am just wide awake with an energy I haven't had in months.  What's my surgery about you ask?

Tired of the barriers we place between ourselves...

Hi! get comfy in your seat and let's chat!!! ;)
Some of you have been following me for a while, and some recently joined (Thank you for either by the way).  As I have almost daily conversations with some of my Blogging friends, there are some of you I have never spoken with or seen.
