How to stretch $100 for 4 kids' clothes... #luvcookies

It's no surprise that the prices for kid's clothing are as high as gold right now; and when you have more than 1 child, it just becomes a bit too much right? 
Well having 6+ kids ourselves and our income being extremely limited, it was very hard to get the kids new school clothes last month.  They all had to settle for one new outfit each, good thing they are used to budgets because it was not a battle.

Since moving to NY I had been sticking to the generic superstore to find quick and affordable clothing items as I could afford them. 

WELL, let me tell you...

A much needed Family fun night-in...

While we used to live in sunny San Diego, Ca we used to have weekend Family movie nights, of course we would spend the entire day out and as we settle down for bed; it would be while watching a movie together.  Since we moved to NY it has been a complete change with everything.  To begin with, the weather is opposite of what we are used too.  Sun is out, but with cold and strong winds, making this aging lady's bones ache, lol.  So we spend a lot of time indoors, driving each other crazy as usual.

This weekend I had the opportunity to have our cousins over, and we planned an old fashioned Family night-in.  I took ALL 8 kids with me to Walmart and we had a shopping spree while the men went out for some much needed "man time" ;)

Baby products.  Do you feel the same way I did when I heard those two words?  Weather I am looking for toys for my babies or for gifts, I always had the same reaction... stress.  The fact that I had to research the items, open them to make sure they were safe enough for my standards, and also that they were fun and fun looking; was such a daunting task!
